Watch: New ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ TV Spot teases Boba’s escape from the Sarlacc

x

A new TV spot is stirring anticipation for the Disney Plus Star Wars series The Book of Boba Fett ahead of its release next month.

Starring Temuera Morrison as the titular bounty hunter Boba Fett, this newest glimpse has a tease to the character’s origin, if you will, in that he addresses the fact that he was “left for dead on the sands of Tatooine,” in reference to the character succumbing to the Sarlacc pit at the end of Return of the Jedi.

Perhaps the show will finally address one of the long-speculated methods with which Boba apparently survived the enormous creature, which has previously been explored in books and comics from the ’90s, but whose content is no longer considered canonical.

In J.D. Montgomery’s A Barve Like That: The Tale of Boba Fett anthology from 1996, this was depicted as Boba establishing a telepathic connection to the Sarlacc’s other victims then manipulating the creature that way while also utilizing his jetpack and a few well-placed grenades to facilitate his escape. He was also depicted as having survived the incident in Dark Horse’s Dark Empire comic, though it only divulged that the character survived and didn’t explicitly say how.

All of those previous iterations aren’t considered canon anymore, however, with Disney’s acquisition of Star Wars pruning away many of the legacy novelizations of old from the official timeline.

What we do know is that in this upcoming show Boba is attempting to take over the Tatooine crime syndicate of his former employer, Jabba the Hutt.

We’ll have to see if one fan theory rings true that suggests the bounty hunter was perhaps saved by the Tusken raiders after the Sarlacc incident when The Book of Boba Fett premieres on Disney Plus on Dec. 29.

How to Delete Your TikTok Account

TikTok is a popular app, brimming with content. In fact, since its launch in 2016, the platform has gone from strength to strength, giving users a place to show off their best short videos. Tiktok has over 600 million active users, and over 1 billion video views every week.

However, like any social media app, you may decide to delete your account for several reasons. You might not approve of TikTok’s privacy policy or the app and its content simply aren’t for you. Thankfully, when you know where to look, deleting a TikTok account is surprisingly simple.

So here is a step-by-step guide to the process.

Preparing To Delete TikTok

If you delete TikTok, all the videos you have stored on the service will also be deleted. So, it is best to go through your account and save any videos you want to keep to your phone’s storage, just to make sure you don’t lose any videos you love, or so you can migrate them to a new account in the future.

How To Delete TikTok

TikTok accounts can be deleted from within the TikTok app. To delete your TikTok account, tap the profile icon in the top right of your screen.

Then, look to the top right of the screen, where you will see a line of three dots. Tap these dots to be taken to another menu.

Once you’re in this menu, go to the “Manage Account” option and then navigate to “Delete Account.” The app will then lead you through a series of prompts to confirm that you want to delete your account.

Once this is done, your account will be put in the deactivated state.

What Does Deactivated Mean?

A deactivated account isn’t deleted. TikTok, like many social media sites, doesn’t delete your account right away, giving you a chance to change your mind about the decision.

When an account is set to deactivated, a timer starts. If you don’t log into the account for 30 days after setting it to deactivated, the account and its content get deleted.

However, if you log in during the 30 days, the timer is stopped, and you’ll have to go through the process again, including restarting the 30 days wait. Because of this, it is recommended you log out of the account, turn off any automatic logins you have for it and delete the app when you set the account to deactivated, just to make sure you don’t accidentally login and thus reset the timer.

Watch: Andrew Garfield gets emotional over surprise message from ‘Cobra Kai’ cast

Thought you were the biggest Cobra Kai fan around? Afraid not, as that honor has to go to Andrew Garfield. It turns out that the former (and possibly near-future) Spider-Man star is obsessed with the hit Netflix series — which is why the streaming service decided to surprise him with some surprises messages from the Cobra Kai cast in a new promo for his latest movie, acclaimed musical tick tick… BOOM!

As you can see in the video below, shared by Neflix Geeked on Twitter, Garfield previously revealed that he’d been binging Cobra Kai and was desperate for season four to get here. In response, Netflix reached out to the cast, including Karate Kid icons Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, to record some special messages for the British actor, sharing the love for his new film in the process. The result couldn’t be any better than we hoped for as Garfield isn’t just shocked and excited but also gets genuinely teary-eyed. Check it out below.

“No, I can’t handle it… They know I exist,” Garfield says as he’s overcome with emotion, apparently forgetting that he’s an Oscar-nominated performer. “Life can be OK sometimes. Life can be really nice. That was one of them, the best moments of my life,” he gushes. “I wish it wasn’t true but it is,” he adds with a laugh.

Garfield says that he doesn’t need season four anymore as this surprise is going to keep him going for years, but luckily for the rest of us the latest season of the show is arriving next month. Cobra Kai is coming back to our screens as a special New Year treat on Dec. 31, 2021. In the meantime, make sure to catch Andrew Garfield in tick, tick… BOOM!, aka the directorial debut of Lin-Manuel Miranda, on Netflix now.

Watch: J. Jonah Jameson returns as The Daily Bugle hits TikTok

When The Daily Bugle was introduced into the MCU at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the newspaper was reimagined for the times as an InfoWars-like fake news website. The marketing for the incoming Spider-Man: No Way Home is taking the concept of updating the Bugle and running with it by starting up a Daily Bugle TikTok account — featuring new footage of J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson!

TikTok account @thedailybugleofficial has just launched this Wednesday, and it reveals a big change for a key character from the Spider-Man: Home trilogy. As explained in the first video shared on the page, Peter Parker’s classmate Betty Brant (Angourie Rice) has started working as an (unpaid) intern at TheDailyBugle.Net and has been put in charge of its TikTok account:

The second video then brings Simmons’ Jameson into the fray. A send-up of TikTok challenges, it asks Betty and the infamous Spidey-hater to “tell us you hate Spider-Man without telling us you hate Spider-Man”. Though Betty defends her friend against the slander, calling Peter a “very nice person” who saved her life, JJJ of course labels him a “menace”.

The third and most recent video shared at the time of writing sees Betty back, this time encouraging fans to become Bugle interns just like her, which they can do by downloading the Daily Bugle Reporter pack via the link in the account’s bio (which you can also access here).

With the much-anticipated threequel only just over three weeks away at this point, and in the wake of last week’s mind-blowing second trailer, the marketing machine for Spider-Man: No Way Home is well and truly ramping up. Expect more treats to come very soon and, before we know it, the movie will be opening in theaters on December 17.

Watch: ‘Hanna’ season three clip teases assassin’s secret revenge plot

x

With Amazon Prime Video’s Hanna having its third season drops Wednesday, a new clip gives us a glimpse at what’s in store for the continued saga of super spies and the ongoing secret revenge plot against evil organization Utrax by someone they created and trained to become an assassin, protagonist Hanna played by Esmé Creed-Miles.

The DNA-enhanced Hanna is now covertly trying to destroy Utrax from the inside and free herself from its grasp, alongside former nemesis, ex-CIA agent Marissa Wiegler, played by Mireille Enos. The duo have managed to coerce an Utrax agent, Dermot Mulroney’s John Carmichael, into helping them on their mission all while fellow assassins, Áine Rose Daly’s Sandy and Gianna Kiehl’s Jules, begin to suspect Hanna’s plot.

What new foes await our hero as she moves closer to her goal? And Earth-shattering conspiracies lay ahead in regard to Ultrax, the true source of their power, and the only thing standing between her and her freedom? It’s all unfolding in Prime Video’s season three, available to stream now.

In the clip, we see Hanna getting her car taken over by a nefarious hacker antagonist. The vehicle becomes so out of control, Hanna must roll out of it before it plunges autonomously down a cravasse.

In an exclusive recent interview with We Got This Covered, Hanna showrunner David Farr spoke about the mixed emotions at having to say goodbye to the character with this third and final season.

“It’s very satisfying primarily I have to say,” far said in regard to sticking with his initial concept of trying to make an three-season coming-of-age story for Hanna. “But at the same time, yeah, it’s weird and slightly sort of sad to feel that those characters are going to just, you know, disappear into the history books. But that’s the nature of things, and then there are other stories to tell.

You can watch Hanna season three on Amazon Prime Video now.

Watch WWE star Seth Rollins get attacked by fan in viral video

Pro wrestling star Seth Rollins is used to getting attacked, but not necessarily by fans.

The 35-year-old World Wrestling Entertainment star found himself in that very predicament last night during Monday Night Raw at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

In a now-viral moment, a fan jumped over the guard rail near the ramp and flew at Rollins, tackling him to the ground. The fan came out so quickly that Rollins didn’t really have a chance to react. It’s pretty spectacular and mildly horrifying.

Fortunately, Rollins was OK after the altercation, suffering a bruised lip and waving away medical help.

Take a look at what happened below.

Because the incident happened in an arena, there are more angles than just this one. In the following video, we get to see the aftermath of the hit.

A referee following Rollins quickly jumps to his aid, then another ref comes barreling in with a flying elbow. Rollins gets up and is pretty angry. He starts calling the man a “little bitch” and chastises him for the blind side.

The attacker is 24-year-old Elisah Spencer, according to reports. Spencer was charged with attempted assault and disrupting a live event. WWE said it would go after Spencer legally.

“WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously,” a company spokesperson said. “The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Spencer released a bizarre video after the incident claiming responsibility for his actions and saying something about Vince McMahon and that he had a personal “beef” with Colby Lopez, Rollins’ real name.

Videos of the incident have been viewed millions of times, and even older wrestlers are commenting on it. Chavo Guerrero, a wrestler in his ’50s, called Rollins out on Twitter.

“Remember when the wrestlers were tougher than the fans?” Guerrero tweeted. “Ah, the good ol’ days.”
