The new DC UNIVERSE drama series DC’s STARGIRL follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore as she inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new drama reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in an unpredictable series that focuses on the character that started creator Geoff Johns’ career as a comic book writer when he created her in 1999, lovingly inspired by his late sister who was killed in a 1996 plane explosion.

Earlier today, an Australian TV spot for The New Mutants was shared online which seemingly confirmed a September 4 debut on Disney+. Soon after, Disney denied that it was real, and many fans have since pointed out that the studio did the exact same thing when promo art for Solo: A Star Wars Story leaked. That was also dubbed “fake,” and later adorned toy packaging across the globe.
That’s not the only evidence to have seemingly debunked Disney’s claims; as Trailer-Track Editor-in-Chief Anton Volkov points out, the TV spot includes footage which has not been seen before.
It begins with an alternate line of dialogue before a new shot of Danielle Moonstar can be seen at 00:16. Demon Bear then smashes through a wall at 00:17, while the shot of the team in rubble at 00:19 is also new, as is another glimpse of Mirage at 00:22. That’s an awful lot for a “fake” TV spot, but many fans believe the Disney+ branding is what’s been added after the fact.
Reddit user Rman823 notes that the fan who posted it on Reddit “just so happens to create fan trailers and use Adobe After Effects,” so he could be trolling everyone with the Disney+ title cards.
Even so, Disney also denied that Artemis Fowl was being released on their streaming platform, and we know how that turned out. If the Marvel move is being moved to Disney+, an official announcement will be made at Comic-Con@Home.

okay so looking back and forth between this and the version online way back when (https://t.co/cMoS43pZuE) looks like there *is* new footage, there is a new version of Alice Braga’s line at the start (h/t @ManaByte @FAAPF). Real after all? Still nothing on iSpot #TheNewMutants https://t.co/KOSjoCFRDa

Marvel Comics is giving the Fantastic Four an overhaul for the team’s upcoming issue #25, which is being billed as a “new era” for Marvel’s First Family. Former Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott is remaining on board as the title’s writer, but he’s going to be joined by Powers of X artist RB Silva.
Since returning to the Marvel Universe, the heroes have worn black uniforms with blue accents, but these new costumes – which are showcased on a cover by Mark Brooks – are far more traditional.
The solicitation text for Fantastic Four #25 promises that, “This issue has it all: New artist! New villains! New uniforms! And a new, major, permanent status quo change for Marvel’s First Family! All this and an appearance by DOCTOR DOOM! One of the most important characters in the entire cosmos…returns from the dead! And a major turning point in the history of the FANTASTIC FOUR! Great entry point for readers!”
Looking at the cover, it appears as if Empyre: Fantastic Four #0‘s young Kree Jo-Venn and young Skrull N’Kalla will be joining the team on their adventures once that crossover reaches its conclusion.
Slott’s Fantastic Four run has drawn mixed reviews, but he’s done an effective job of reimagining the team after they were shelved by Marvel Comics. Plus, for many comic book readers out there, it will just be a treat to see Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben back in their classic comic book costumes.

It’s been known for some time now that The Flash movie will borrow a number of story elements from the Flashpoint comic book, though one major change has already been made. That’s the decision to have Barry Allen arrive in a new timeline where Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne is still Batman (replacing the Thomas Wayne version of the vigilante from the source material).
If a new rumor shared by Heroic Hollywood is to be believed, there won’t be a war between the Atlanteans and Amazons, either. That points to a very different take on this story, and potentially debunks previous reports of cameos from Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.
As well as meeting a different version of Batman in the alternate timeline he creates after racing back in time to save his mother from the Reverse-Flash, the comic book Flashpoint revealed that Earth had been ravaged by a war between the two Justice League members and their respective nations.
That might have been a little too much for The Flash to include, but a lot of fans out there are sure to be disappointed that another major part of the source material will not be featured in this film. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be excited, however, and more details will hopefully be revealed soon.
