Chris Pratt pokes fun at those who hate his ‘Super Mario Bros. Movie’ voice with the help of Charlie Day

Chris Pratt knows. He knows we don’t like him playing every animated character ever. He knows we don’t like how he treats his ex and their son, and he knows we’re not fans of his Mario voice. Despite all this, he soldiers on – taking it on the chin and realizing he needs to play along or things will get much worse.

Pratt, along with Super Mario Bros. Movie costar Charlie Day, shared a short video where he gave everyone a “sneak peak” at the Mario voice.

“TOP SECRET EXCLUSIVE hear the real, raw, unfiltered, and 100% authentic voices of Mario and Luigi like never before!,” he wrote.

Only it wasn’t. The Mario voice, that is. He then delivered Mario’s iconic line, “It’s me Mario,” but sounding like someone who just swallowed a pine cone. Well, at least he knows.

Day, not to be upstaged, did his version of the Luigi voice by pantoming a whole thing but silently. It’s funny! They are both funny, and we’re all hoping that Pratt doesn’t take down one of our most beloved franchises with his shenanigans.

Hype for the movie continues to build daily, especially with the recent opening of Super Nintendo World (with Brie Larson!) Nintendo recently announced it would debut the final trailer before the movie comes out on March 9. Then it’s smooth sailing until the movie releases.

A teaser image for the new trailer shows Mario and the gang riding karts on Rainbow Road, one of the most notoriously difficult tracks in the Super Mario Kart franchise. Who’s pumped?

The Super Mario Bros. Movie will slide into theaters on April 7.

The best way to prep for ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ is now free to watch on YouTube

Scott Lang - Quantum Realm

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is finally here, and despite so-so reviews it looks like it’s on track to make a bazillion dollars and continue the superhero era of modern cinema – for better or for worse. Because there are a million superhero movies and miles of backstory, Marvel was nice enough to create some video shorts to get everyone ready for the film.

YouTube recently released three episodes of “Marvel Studios Legends,” according to a Disney Plus press release:

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania launches Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but before diving into the Quantum Realm, fans can catch up with Marvel Super Heroes Ant-Man (Scott Lang), The Wasp (Hope Van Dyne), Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne with three episodes of the Disney+ Original Series “Marvel Studios Legends,” now available for the first time on Marvel YouTube.”

For those less familiar with the movie, here’s a synopsis.

“Super Heroes Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and The Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.”

The Legends series is a Disney Plus original production that “celebrates the epic heroes and villains of the MCU, and the moments that made them. There are a total of 29 episodes so far. The first Ant-Man video is about everyone’s second favorite insect-based superhero (Spider-Man is first, obviously).

The episode takes a look at all of the MCU moments from the titular character as he “faces off against powerful adversaries, meets the love of his life and becomes the dad he was destined to be.” Oh, and he was also instrumental in defeating Thanos.

The second video centers around The Wasp, who was “shielded from the action by her overprotective father, inventor Hank Pym. But when the Pym Particles fell into the wrong hands, Hope reluctantly trained a thief named Scott Lang to become Ant-Man.” The video traces her origins and follows through as she battles evil along with The Avengers.

Finally we have the third video. which centers around Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, “the original Ant-Man and The Wasp, but after an epic show of bravery, Janet was lost forever… or so Hank thought.” This video shows Pym’s path from scientist to doting father and how much things changed when Scott Lang came into the picture.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is in theaters now.

Baby Yoda dials the cute up to 11 in new ‘Mandalorian’ season 3 clip

x

If you still have reservations about The Mandalorian season 3 and how quickly it reunited Din Djarin with his ward Grogu, then this clip of Baby Yoda getting up to some Baby Yoda shenanigans will not only melt your heart but prove just how wrong you are.

We’re officially two weeks away from the next chapter in Mando’s journey on the small screens, so promo clips and TV spots are going to start pouring in at an astonishingly relentless pace. Today saw the release of a simple conversation between Djarin and Greef Karga, spoiled by a little mischievous troublemaker using the Force to swivel his chair around. He even Force-pulls a berry to his mouth, so I guess when you’re an ex-Jedi pupil in a world where the Order is all but destroyed, you get to have as much fun with your abilities as you want.

Baby Yoda initially became an internet sensation thanks to these very same adorable theatrics, and the fact that The Mandalorian is continuing to capitalize on it means the producers know exactly how to rope audiences in.

Fans worry that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni can’t keep up with the quality of previous seasons because the story is just going to grow stale, and The Book of Boba Fett‘s failings also reassert these doubts. Frankly, though, if the entire eight-episode run consists of Djarin picking up side quests in the galaxy and Baby Grogu being there to fill up the charm factor, then The Mandalorian will have been well worth it.

You can expect the first episode to premiere on March 1.
