UNCHARTED 5: Nolan North Reveals Whether He Believes Nathan Drake Could Return On The PS5 – EXCLUSIVE

Image

The Uncharted video games are among the best ever released, and the Naughty Dog series is critically acclaimed, best-selling, and groundbreaking from a technological standpoint.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was released in 2016, and served as an undeniably perfect end to the story of Nathan Drake and the characters who surrounded him. Despite that, fans are desperate to return to that world, and an Uncharted in the PlayStation 5 would no doubt be truly phenomenal.

When we sat down with Nate himself, Nolan North, to discuss his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in Marvel’s Avengers, we obviously had to ask whether he thinks the hero could come out of retirement for one more adventure. Thankfully, it sounds like Nolan is definitely willing to make a comeback!

As well as starring in video games, animated TV shows, and movies, Nolan also has his own YouTube channel – Retro Replay – so make sure you head over and subscribe (we’ve included one of his latest Uncharted videos below). You can also find him on Twitter at @nolan_north and Instagram at @reallynolannorth to keep up to date with that series and his future projects.

Uncharted 4 was such a beautiful game and that ending was perfect, but is there a part of you that thinks Nate could come out of retirement for an Uncharted 5 or is that a character you’re ready to move on from at this stage in your career?

That’s a great question. You know, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to move on from him. I’m satisfied with it if this truly is the end, which I believe it is. I’m okay with it, but if there were ever a chance they wanted to drag me back out into the mo-cap suit, I’m not gonna lie, I try to keep myself in shape just for that day! [Laughs]

Over the years, he just became more and more like me, and I became like him, aside from climbing and shooting things. It’s never anything I would say no to. I would always want to continue that role if they ever wanted me back. That being said, I think they wrapped it up pretty well, they put a nice bow on it, and I’m certainly happy that I now have Tony Stark in my quiver and get to play him. I’m hoping the game does well enough where they continue with more.

At the same time, I can also tell you, that there might be another Nathan Drake-type role. I don’t mean a gallivanting adventurer hero, but there may be another great role that isn’t the iconic Iron Man-type character. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m excited about it because I’ve always been a glass half full kind of guy and I think exciting possibilities are endless, and I’m always looking to find them.

SHE-HULK Casts ORPHAN BLACK Star Tatiana Maslany In The Lead Role Of Jennifer Walters

Image

We had heard that a major announcement regarding Marvel’s upcoming She-Hulk series was imminent, and Deadline has now broke the news that the lead role has been cast!

Orphan Black actress Tatiana Maslany will play attorney Jennifer Walters and her lean, green alter-ego in the Disney+ show.

This comes on the heels of the news that Dead To Me director Kat Coiro wil helm the pilot and several other episodes. Rick and Morty scribe Jessica Gao has also been confirmed to lead the writers room.

In the comics, Walters is an attorney who gains similar powers to The Green Goliath when she receives a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner. Mark Ruffalo’s involvement hasn’t been made official yet, but the actor has dropped a few hints that he will reprise his MCU role for the show.

Maslany is best known for her Emmy-nominated role in Orphan Black, but she has also appeared in the likes of Diary of the Dead, Stronger and Destroyer. She can currently be seen in HBO’s Perry Mason.

She-Hulk is reportedly scheduled to begin production in Atlanta, Georgia early next year.

What do you make of this casting choice? Can you see Maslany as She-Hulk? Let us know in the comments.

JUSTICE LEAGUE Star Ray Fisher Has Officially Asked Warner Bros. To Change Investigator

Image

On the heels of last night’s controversial report which suggested that Justice League star Ray Fisher only began his social media campaign against director Joss Whedon and (former) Warner Bros. execs when he was offered a small cameo role in The Flash movie, the actor has updated his followers on the ongoing investigation into his accusations.

Fisher directly responded to The Wrap’s article last night, but he’s now addressed the studio’s recent claims that he has refused to cooperate into the investigation.

The Cyborg actor has accused the studio of “blatant lies,” and officially requested a change in investigator. He has also asked anyone who’s been contacted by the current investigator to decline an interview.

This type of situation involving a major studio and an actor who is (as far as we know) still under contract there is pretty much unprecedented, and has understandably gained a lot of attention online. Fans are obviously hoping that we do get to the bottom of what really happened, but many feel this continuing back-and-forth has become tiresome.

What are your thoughts on this latest development? Drop us a comment in the usual place.

STAR TREK: Noah Hawley’s Movie Would Follow Newly Created Characters Rather Than Kirk And Picard

Image

Last November, Fargo and Legion showrunner Noah Hawley signed up to write and direct a new Star Trek film. At the time, it was unclear whether that would include the current franchise’s cast, especially as Paramount had also been working on a Star Trek 4 featuring a returning Chris Hemsworth as George Kirk.

Throw in another Star Trek film with Quentin Tarantino circling, and it surprised no one earlier this summer when it was revealed Paramount Pictures has put the brakes on these plans to decide on the best possible direction to take the series in. The franchise has found great success on television lately, so it’s no great surprise the studio is being careful about whether to take things next.

It’s been said that Hawley’s film revolves around a virus, and in the current climate, that plot has made it an unfavorable option for the studio.

The filmmaker didn’t comment on that during a recent interview with Variety, but did confirm that his film wouldn’t revolve around any familiar faces. “We’re not doing Kirk and we’re not doing Picard,” he revealed. “It’s a start from scratch that then allows us to do what we did with Fargo, where for the first three hours you go, ‘Oh, it really has nothing to do with the movie,’ and then you find the money. So you reward the audience with a thing that they love.”

Hawley later confirmed that the script is finished, but the project currently remains on hold.
