AVENGERS: ENDGAME BTS Photos Released Featuring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, And Mark Ruffalo

Image

Had things played out slightly differently, Avengers: Endgame would have been released this year and delayed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The thought of the most highly anticipated superhero movie of all-time facing the same sort of postponement Black Widow has is hard to fathom, and it obviously would’ve been interesting seeing how Disney might have handled that.

Thankfully, it didn’t happen, and the hope now is that Black Widow could join Mulan in being released on Disney+ for $29.99 this November (it all depends what happens with the ongoing pandemic).

With Avengers: Endgame among the Marvel Studios movies already on the streaming service, they’ve now reminded fans of that with a few behind the scenes photos. As you can see, they show Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) all posing in front of that iconic Avengers logo, and we’ll hopefully get more with the rest of the movie’s cast.

We recently spoke to the Russo Brothers about the epic finale to the “Infinity Saga,” and you can find that interview by clicking here. Then, check out these photos in the Instagram post below:

CAPTAIN MARVEL 2 Finds Its Director In CANDYMAN Filmmaker Nia DaCosta

Image

Captain Marvel 2 has found a director!

According to Deadline, Marvel has enlisted Candyman reboot helmer Nia DaCosta to step behind the camera of the highly anticipated sequel, which will see Brie Larson make her return as Carol Danvers. This makes DaCosta the first Black woman to direct a Marvel Studios film.

We were told that the first movie’s directors Anne Bowden and Ryan Fleck would not be returning back when the sequel was announced as being officially in development, and Marvel has been searching for a female filmmaker to take over since.

Kevin Feige and co. are said to have been meeting with candidates for the past couple of months (no one else is named in this report), but DaCosta “seemed to have the edge for some time.”

WandaVision writer Megan McDonnell penned the script.

Plot details for Captain Marvel 2 remain under wraps for now, but there are rumors that Ms. Marvel will make an appearance. There’s also a lot of speculation that the sequel will take influence from the Secret Invasion comic arc, which would make a certain amount of sense following the events of the first film.

JURASSIC PARK Original Laura Dern Shares A Photo From The Set Of JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION

Image

Sam Neill recently revealed that he was preparing to begin filming his scenes as Dr. Alan Grant for Jurassic World: Dominion, and he shared a photo from the set of the movie to Twitter yesterday which showed him reuniting with Dr. Alan Grant’s signature fedora.

Now, one of Neill’s fellow Jurassic Park originals has followed suit with a behind-the-scenes snap of her own. (

Laura Dern, who will reprise the role of Doctor Ellie Sattler, posted a pic of the chairs she and Neill use to take a load off between takes. While the Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress did appear (very) briefly as Sattler in Jurassic Park III, she hasn’t had a substantial part to play in the franchise since Steven Spielberg’s iconic original.

Day one. Hello old friend. #jurassicworlddominion

It’s not much of a tease, but now that production has resumed and the original gang is back in business, we may begin to see some slightly more revealing set pics find their way online in the coming weeks.

We’re not sure what kind of role Dern and the other JP originals will play in Dominion, but they are expected to make more than just brief cameo appearances.

The Fallen Kingdom follow-up is set to roar into theaters next June.

Tom Hanks In Talks To Play Geppetto In Robert Zemeckis’ Live-Action PINOCCHIO Movie

Image

Back in November of 2011, the trades reported that Tom Hanks (Toy Story, Road to Perdition) was in talks to play Geppetto in a live-action take on Disney’s Pinocchio. That was back when Paddington director Paul King was attached to helm the project, but it looks like Hanks’ interest has been renewed now that Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future) is behind the camera.

According to Deadline, the mega-popular actor is in early negotiations for the role of Geppetto having reached out to Zemeckis personally in the hopes of re-teaming with his Forest Gump and Castaway director on the film.

Zemeckis is also writing the script, while Andrew Miano and Chris Weitz are producing through their Depth of Field company.

Pinocchio tells the story of a wooden puppet who is brought to life by a fairy. Guided by his conscience (Jiminy Cricket), he sets out to prove himself worthy of becoming a real boy. If Hanks does board the project, he’ll play the old wood carver who creates Pinocchio and becomes his father figure.

Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Hellboy) is currently working on a separate version of the classic tale for Netflix, but his take will be a stop-motion animated musical.
