While we all wait (im)patiently for a first look at some footage from Dune (there was speculation that the trailer might debut during Comic-Con@Home, but that’s not looking likely now), it seems Denis Villeneuve and his crew are gearing up for reshoots.
Oscar Isaac recently revealed that additional photography was set to commence as soon as it was safe to travel, and Rebecca Ferguson has now confirmed that she’ll soon be returning to Budapest, Hungary to re-immerse herself in the desert world of Arrakis.
The Mission: Impossible Fallout actress will play Lady Jessica, concubine of Duke Leto Atreides I (Isaac), and the mother of his son Paul. She is also a member of the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood, and possesses extremely powerful abilities.
Check out Ferguson’s Instagram post below.
Just in case you’re not too familiar with the Dune universe, you’ll find a breakdown of the main characters and who’ll be playing them along with some previously released images below.
We don’t spoil any major events from the book, but if you’d rather go in knowing as little as possible, might be best to skip it!
To see all of the characters at once, simply click on the Next button below!

Paul Atreides is the primary protagonist of Dune.
Born on the planet Caladan to Duke Leto Atreides I and his Bene Gesserit concubine Lady Jessica, Paul eventually travels to Arrakis and winds up becoming a Messiah-like figure to the desert planet’s indigenous people, The Fremen. There, he meets and falls in love with a Fremen warrior named Chani, and is forced to choose between settling down with her and embracing the terrifying destiny glimpsed in his spice-induced visions.
Paul will be played by Call Me By Your Name star Timothée Chalamet.

Fremen warrior and Paul Areides’ love interest, Chani is the daughter of half-Fremen planetologist Liet Kynes.
When Paul arrives on Arrakis, Chani is serving under Stilgar as his right-hand woman but soon falls for the mysterious young newcomer – even though she remains wary of the powerful prescient visions they share.
Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s Zendaya will play Chani in Villeneuve’s film.

Upon arriving on Arrakis, Jessica is welcomed into the ranks of The Fremen along with her son, and eventually accepts the position of new Reverend Mother, despite being aware of the potentially catastrophic repercussions of this action.
Jessica will be played by Mission: Impossible – Fallout star Rebecca Ferguson.

Paul’s father Leto Atreides I starts out as the ruler of the planet Caladan, but when The Emperor asks him to take control of Arrakis and oversee spice production there, he relocates to the planet known as Dune with his son and concubine, Jessica.
Leto is generally well liked and respected by all of his subjects for his even-handed and compassionate leadership style, but this also leads to jealousy among his fellow noblemen of the other Great Houses.
This take on Leto Atreides will be brought to life by Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, X-Men: Apocalypse).

Stilgar Ben Fifrawi is the noble Naib (leader) of Sietch Tabr, a Fremen tribe of Arrakis, and one of Paul Atreides’ most loyal allies.
When Leto and his family relocate to Dune, Stilgar and his people are wary of their motives at first but soon come to view The Duke’s son Paul as the desert messiah of their ancient prophecies. Stilgar also strikes up a strong friendship with Duncan Idaho.
In Dune (2020), this character will be played by Javier Bardem (Skyfall, No Country for Old Men, Mother!).

Duncan Idaho is a skilled swordmaster loyal to House Atreides who helps to train Paul in various combat styles.
In the novel, Leto sends Duncan to Arrakis as an envoy to get a read on the nomadic Fremen population. While there, Idaho strikes up a friendship with Stilgar and ultimately winds up pledging dual allegiance to the Atreides and the Fremen leader.
Aquaman star Jason Momoa has been cast as this fan-favorite character.

The ruthless, but noble Warmaster for House Atreides, Gurney Halleck was one of Paul’s principal teachers along with Duncan during his early years on Caladan.
An exceptionally skilled warrior, Gurney is described as “an ugly lump of a man” in the source material, which may suggest that the actor who’ll be playing him, Josh Brolin, will be undergoing a slight transformation for the role.

The Boys are set to return for more ultra-violent adventures on September 4, and Amazon recently unveiled a full, blood-soaked trailer for what promises to be an even batshit crazier second season. Now, EW has shared a new still featuring all five members of the team back together… and in serious need of a change of cloths!
Why are Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his associates Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), “Wee” Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid), and The Frenchman (Tomer Kapon) covered in blood? All we know for sure is that it involves a whale (we’re not sure we want any more details).
Butcher will be MIA when the season gets underway, and while this ultimately leads to tension with his teammates, Urban suggests that the unstable antihero is going to show a softer side this season.
“There’s the monster, the violent psychopath, the killer, but there’s also the more compassionate side, the more humanistic side of Billy… There are really some wonderful, unlikely relationships that are formed,” says the Dredd actor. “Billy thinks the only good Supe is a dead Supe, and this season is really a season about growth. He’s coming to understand that things aren’t that black and white, there’s a certain shade of grey. He’s coming to understand that there is a benefit that comes with tolerance and being able to see that if he can use an asset, even if it’s a Supe, to achieve his goal, then he’s got to do it.”
Check out the image along with the recent NSFW trailer below, and be sure to let us know if you plan on tuning in for Season 2 of The Boys in the comments.

The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.
The Boys will return to Amazon Prime this September.

Just months after announcing the conclusion of their Go Go Power Rangers series, BOOM! Studios has now announced the end of their flagship Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic series, which will wrap up its critically acclaimed four-year run with issue #55 in October.
However, BOOM! has no intention of leaving the morphenomenal universe anytime soon and will be launching a whole new era – the Unlimited Power era – of Ranger comics with a pair of all-new ongoing series: Mighty Morphin and Power Rangers.
Both Mighty Morphin #1 and Power Rangers #1 will launch in November 2020 and will be written by fan-favorite Rangers writer Ryan Parrott (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Rising star Marco Renna will be the artist behind the former while Francesco Mortarino (Firefly: The Sting) will tackle the latter.
The new Mighty Morphin series will follow an all-new team, presumably the second iteration of the MMPR team (Tommy, Kimberly, Billy, Rocky, Adam, and Aisha), and will introduce new allies (Kat?), new villains, and an all-new Green Ranger, meaning the team could have a full time roster of seven instead of six. The series also promises the return of Lord Zedd and a big Zordon reveal.
Meanwhile, the new Power Rangers series sounds even more exciting as it will continue the adventures of original Rangers Jason, Trini, and Zack, who now make up the all-powerful Omega Rangers, and thrust them into an all-new story that will see them go rogue and possibly team up with the nefarious Lord Drakkon to save the world!
The POWER RANGERS: UNLIMITED POWER Era Begins with MIGHTY MORPHIN #1 in November 2020
Two New Series. Two New Teams. A New Beginning For All Power Rangers Is Here!
BOOM! Studios, under license by Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS), today announced an exciting new series premiere, MIGHTY MORPHIN #1, from superstar writer Ryan Parrott (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and rising star artist Marco Renna, as they launch the first of two all-new series with two all-new teams in November 2020.
A new Mighty Morphin team has assembled to take on the deadliest threats to Earth – but who is the All New Green Ranger by their side?
The new Mighty Morphin team is on a collision course with an even deadlier Lord Zedd, who has a new mission and a new motivation – one that will change everything you thought you knew about our heroes! But even if the Mighty Morphin team can find a way to survive Zedd and their mysterious new enemies, they may discover the greatest threat to their future is the shocking secret of Zordon’s past! A new Mighty Morphin epic begins here, perfect for longtime fans and new readers alike.
New York Times bestselling author Ryan Parrott is a comic book and screenwriter based out of Los Angeles. A graduate of Chapman University, Parrott has written for television series NBC’s Revolution and Hulu’s Chance. Parrott is also known for his work on DC Comics’ Batman: Gates of Gotham, IDW’s Star Trek comic book series, including Starfleet Academy, Boldly Go, and Manifest Destiny, Dynamite’s Death to the Army of Darkness, and his creator-owned projects Volition, Oberon, and Dead Day with Aftershock Comics. He is currently the writer for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with BOOM! Studios.
“This is a brand new beginning for an all-new Mighty Morphin team featuring characters you know – and an all new Green Ranger. This book is a chance to explore the past, present and future of the team in ways you’ve never seen before,” said Parrott. “Coming out of Necessary Evil, there seemed like an opportunity to not only start fresh but focus the story in on our new MIGHTY MORPHIN team like we haven’t before.”
Marco Renna is a comic artist from Italy who made his debut with Action Lab Comics. After winning the Top Cow Talent Hunt 2016, Renna became the main artist of Fathom Vol.6 and other Aspen Comics series. He has also worked on some short stories such as Sandokan for Star Comics and Muhammed Ali for Petit à Petit. He also collaborated with Dynamite Entertainment on James Bond.
“I’m really happy to have the opportunity to work on Power Rangers. I used to watch the TV show every day and being able to draw these characters is a dream come true,” said Renna. “I feel honored to be part of this fantastic team and I am excited to go into this new adventure. I really hope you enjoy my art.”
Currently, Power Rangers is celebrating 27 continuous years on the air, making it one of the longest running kids’ live-action series in television history with nearly 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the franchise celebrates its 27th season, “Power Rangers Beast Morphers” currently airing on Saturdays at 8 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon in the U.S.
The hit comic book series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers launched in 2016 at BOOM! Studios, outselling nearly every other comic book in its month of release. The series went on to launch numerous hit spin off series like Go Go Power Rangers and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The series concludes in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #55, on-sale in October, which also features the first appearance of the All New Green Ranger.
“The UNLIMITED POWER era is all about new beginnings for two new teams of Power Rangers as they meet new allies, new enemies, new secrets and an all new Green Ranger,” said Matthew Levine, Editor, BOOM! Studios. “Both of these new series will be critical for long time fans and present an exciting jumping on point for new readers who will learn that the true history of the Power Rangers isn’t what they expected.”

Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld has been extremely outspoken in recent months when it comes to the future of the Deadpool franchise, but he dialled it back a little for a recent interview with Collider. No one really knows how creatively hands on the comic book writer and artist was with the first two movies, but he certainly gives off the impression that he was a key part of the process.
Regardless, he’s made peace with the fact that there might not be a third instalment starring Ryan Reynolds now the rights to the Merc with the Mouth have returned to Marvel Studios.
“You know what? There may not be another Deadpool, and I’m fine,” he told the site. “Because I have to live with the fact that I had two amazing experiences, two movies I’m extremely proud of, I love knowing everybody on those movies. I love Ryan [Reynolds], Josh [Brolin], Zazie [Beets], David [Leitch], Tim Miller. All of them.”
“The work they did was fantabulous, those movies are here to stand the test of time. You know, but in the world we live in, nothing is guaranteed. And it takes a lot to make movies.”
Liefeld went on to explain why he feels Josh Brolin’s Cable deserves to get his own spinoff somewhere down the line.
“He can exist independent of Deadpool in a heartbeat. He has for years. If Deadpool’s been in like 330 comics, Cable’s been in about 520. Yes, I’ve counted. In between Deadpool 2 wrapping and opening, I got really close with Josh. And he was very excited about exploring Cable in the subsequent sequels.”
He finished by dropping an intiguing tease about the X-Force move that never ended up happening. “The X-Force standalone movie that was, in his own words, Cable-centric,” he added, revealing a very interesting piece of information the Deadpool 2 star shared with him once upon a time.
Time will tell what the future holds in store for Deadpool, though it’s no secret that Ryan Reynolds has met with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, presumably to discuss the character’s future.

After Sony Pictures decided not to move forward with Silver & Black, Gina Prince-Bythewood moved on to tackle The Old Guard for Netflix, and she credits the scrapped Marvel project for her getting the chance to tackle another comic book adaptation. After all, just being attached to the high-profile Spider-Man spinoff was enough to put her on the radar of fans and studio bosses alike!
“I wanted to go edgier than some of the Marvel films,” she told Indie Wire, reflecting on the project. “It was a question of how far could I push it in that Marvel universe.”
As for the doors that opened, the filmmaker adds: “‘Silver & Black’ put me in the conversation. I was one of those couple of women people go to for these big films. I knew what kind of movies Skydance make. It was exhilarating and nerve-racking. I knew I loved this project, partly because I could do everything I wanted to do from the other film: an edgy superhero film with two women.”
The site goes on to note that Prince-Bythewood had developed the looks for costumes and sets, scouted locations, storyboarded action scenes, and even worked with the VFX team before Sony changed course.
“Everything happens for a reason,” she notes. “I learned so much in that year and half. All the stuff I was learning about doing a film of that scale I could transfer over to ‘The Old Guard.’ So it didn’t feel like a gigantic leap.”
Things certainly worked out well for the director, though it is a shame we didn’t get to see what she had planned for Silver Sable and Black Cat, as a recent plot leak definitely pointed to it being a fun ride.
Did you check out The Old Guard on Netflix this past weekend?
