LUCIFER: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON Is Now Available On Blu-ray & DVD

Image

One year after its debut on Netflix, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and the Warner Archive Collection have officially released Lucifer: The Complete Fourth Season on Blu-ray and DVD.

Following the immense success of season four, Netflix quickly renewed the Tom Ellis-fronted series for a fifth year and while, at the time, it was dubbed as the final season, multiple reports have since revealed that the streaming giant was very interested in bringing the fan-favorite show back for one more round trip around Hell. However, last we heard, those talks had stalled due to a contract dispute between the streamer and Ellis, which fans are hoping will be resolved relatively soon.

As expected, the physical release is light on special features, but it does include a number of deleted scenes for fans to enjoy as they wait for Netflix to announce a premiere date for the fifth and final season.

Season Four sizzles with fiendishly clever comebacks. The charismatic, handsome Lucifer Morningstar returns resurrected after Season Three’s wicked cliffhanger. His unofficial partner in crime-solving and affairs of the heart, LAPD detective Chloe Decker, returns from an extended vacation – after she saw Lucifer’s devil face for the first time and realized he was, in fact, exactly the man he always claimed to be. And, finally, new to the series but not to the Lord of Hell, comes old flame and original sinner, Eve, whose charms are as tempting to Lucifer now as the serpent’s big, red apple was to her back in the day. Does she want revenge for her expulsion from Eden all those years ago? Or something else entirely? Personal demons get conquered and crimes get solved. But will things ever get right with Deckerstar? Only time and ten scandalous new episodes will tell.

“After the phenomenal #SaveLucifer fan campaign raised hell, the eternal wait is over for the loyal Lucifans,” said Rosemary Markson, WBHE Senior Vice President, Television Marketing. “Get ready to binge-watch all 10 episodes from Season 4 with hours of frighteningly fun entertainment, frivolous adventures and never-before-seen deleted scenes!”

The series stars Tom Ellis (“Rush,” “EastEnders”), Lauren German (“Chicago Fire”), Kevin Alejandro (“Southland,” “True Blood”), DB Woodside (“Suits,” “24”), Lesley-Ann Brandt (“The Librarians”), Aimee Garcia (“Dexter,” “Rush Hour”), and Scarlett Estevez (“Daddy’s Home”), with Inbar Lavi (“Prison Break,” “Imposters”) and Rachael Harris (“The Hangover,” “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid”). Based upon the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for DC, “Lucifer” is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television in association with Warner Bros. Television. Developed by Tom Kapinos (“Californication”), the series is executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean films), Jonathan Littman (“The Amazing Race,” “CSI franchise”), Joe Henderson (“White Collar,” “Almost Human”), Ildy Modrovich (“CSI: Miami,” “Californication”), Kristianne Reed (“CSI: Cyber”) and Jason Ning (“The Expanse,” “Perception”).

It has performed admirably since its digital debut and most recently, came in at #7 on The Digital Entertainment Group’s “Watched at Home Top 20” list.

FROZEN II Star Josh Gad Signs On For Roland Emmerich’s Next Disaster Thriller MOONFALL

Image

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Josh Gad (Frozen II; Avenue 5) has signed on to star in director Roland Emmerich’s next disaster thriller, Moonfall.

The film picks up when the moon is knocked from its orbit by a mysterious force and finds itself on a collision course with Earth. As the world heads toward imminent doom, a ragtag team of unlikely heroes is assembled and sent on a seemingly impossible mission to land on the lunar surface and save humanity – which is a plot that should ring a bell if you’ve seen Michael Bay’s Armageddon.

Gad will play a character named KC Houseman, who is being described as odd and unkempt in a way that suggests a high level of intelligence and an equally high level of disorganization. He is a genius who correctly predicts that the moon has fallen out of its orbit, thus making the space-obsessed, profoundly unfiltered and eccentric man one of the most important people on Earth.

No word yet on when the film may arrive in theaters, but production is tentatively scheduled to begin this fall.

Gad is best known for his fan-favorite role as the voice of Olaf in Disney’s Frozen franchise and his recent credits also include, but are not limited to, Walt Disney Pictures’ Artemis Fowl, HBO’s Avenue 5, ABC’s Modern Family, Sony’s The Angry Birds Movie 2, and 20th Century Fox’s Murder on the Orient Express

Emmerich is, of course, a disaster movie veteran, having been at the helm of Independence Day, Godzilla (1998), The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, and Independence Day: Resurgence. His directing resume also includes the likes of Stargate, The Patriot, 10,000 BC, AnonymousWhite House Down, Stonewall, and Midway

ORPHAN BLACK Cast Set To Reunite This Sunday For Virtual Table Read Of Two Episodes

Image

Three years after wrapping its series finale, Primetime Emmy-winner Tatiana Maslany and the principal cast of BBC America’s Orphan Black are set to reunite this weekend for a virtual table read of two episodes in support of Mental Health Awareness in May and International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia.

The two episodes in question are Season 1, Episode 6: “Variations Under Domestication” and Season 1, Episode 7: “Parts Developed in an Unusual Manner,” which originally aired May 4, 2013, and May 11, 2013, respectively.

Confirmed attendees include Tatiana Maslany as Alison, Cosima, Sarah, and Helena; Maria Doyle Kennedy as Mrs. S; Jordan Gavaris as Felix; Kristian Bruun as Donnie; Kevin Hanchard as Detective Art Bell; Dylan Bruce as Paul; Evelyne Brochu as Dr. Delphine Cormier; Josh Vokey as Scott; Michael Mando as Vic; Inga Cadranel as Detective Angela DeAngelis; Eric Johnson as Chad Norris; Natalie Lisinska as Ainsley; and Kathryn Alexandre acting double; along with co-creators, Graeme Manson and John Fawcett, executive producer Kerry Appleyard, writer Will Pascoe, and co-producer Mackenzie Donaldson.

The virtual table read will begin on May 17, at 3 p.m. EST on the show’s official Facebook page.

Kristian Bruun and I started talking about the idea of doing an Orphan Black reunion back when everything had shut down. We wanted to show love to Clone Club and help raise some money for people who are disproportionately affected during this difficult time. We chose two charities, CenterLink and Sistering Toronto. CenterLink supports over 250 LGBTQ community centers across the world. Our LGBTQ fans have always been deeply important to us. Sistering Toronto helps at risk, socially isolated women and trans people in Toronto, who are certainly in dire need right now of support, resources, and healthcare.

In addition to raising funds, we hope that we can bring some joy to the fans, something intimate just for them, make them feel connected to the Clone Club community even if we’re all far apart. Going back to the first season for some nostalgia and iconic moments. All of the cast and producers and writers did a zoom chat the other day to discuss things and none of us wanted to hang up. Our show was always about family and community and sestrahood, so bringing us all back together for this just felt right.
