To do that, she uses a pair of Obsidian contact lenses to enter a virtual reality world where, instead of Kara, she’ll be the savior of National City.
However, her brief excursion will take a turn for the worst when she unknowingly gets trapped within the make believe world, which isn’t good news for anyone.

The Vin Diesel-starrer only just bowed in theaters last week, but was significantly affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has resulted in nationwide theater shutdowns and audiences choosing to stay home in an effort to stay safe and flatten the curve. To date, it’s grossed over $24.6 million worldwide on an estimated $45 million production budget and it’s believed that under normal circumstances, the film would have had a good chance at becoming a moderate hit for the studio.
Bloodshot is the latest film to move up its digital launch to next week, joining Warner Bros. Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn and STXFilms’ The Gentlemen. Universal’s Dolittle, which starred Robert Downey Jr., is also set for its digital debut next Tuesday.
Universal is also making The Invisible Man, Emma and The Hunt available to rent this Friday and are making Trolls: World Tour available to rent on April 10, day-and-date with its initial theatrical release date.
While neither Black Widow nor Mulan (nor any major upcoming release) will receive this treatment, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Walt Disney Studios may already be considering bringing the recently released Onward or The Call of the Wild, both of which underperformed at the box office, to Disney+ and other digital platforms earlier than anticipated. Same goes for Warner Bros., who have a similar decision to make with Ben Affleck’s The Way Back.
Based on the bestselling comic book, Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force –stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.

Now, some awesome new fan-art has found its way online which transforms the Blade Runner 2049 star into Batman villain Poison Ivy. Needless to say, the result is really cool, and it’s now not even remotely difficult to imagine her “suiting” up in the DC Extended Universe as Harley’s lover.
Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey was a finanical disappointment, so the chances of Gotham City Sirens now seeing the light of day seem slim. However, with Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy all in the same film, that alone has to be the makings of a box office hit that fans would rush to see.
Of course, with Hollywood scuttlebutt claiming that de Armas is dating Justice League star Ben Affleck, perhaps he will warn her off superhero movies given his experience in the genre!

from Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey you may have missed!
Shortly before it all kicks off at the Booby Trap, Harley Quinn and her girl gang start looking through some of her old gear. The bustier Renee Montoya ends up wearing is clearly a reference to Harley’s comic book attire but we also get a fun nod to 2016’s Suicide Squad.
Dinah Lance pulls out a tattered t-shirt that says “Daddy’s Little Monster” across the front and Harley quickly pulls it away and says it has sentimental value. As you may recall, Harley wore that during her time as a member of Task Force X (she also talks about having a bomb in her neck once upon a time, another reference to the events of David Ayer’s movie).
This is a clever one.
While Bill Finger and Bob Kane get the credit for creating Batman, it was actually Jerry Robinson who dreamt up The Joker way back in 1940. Without the Clown Prince of Crime, there would be no Harley Quinn so Birds of Prey finds a way to pay homage to the legendary creator.
Telling Black Mask that she once retrieved a nude photo of Eleanor Roosevelt for The Joker, Harley mentions that she found it in a bird’s nest in “Robinson Park.”
At the Booby Trap, look at one of the windows in the background and you’ll notice a “Hahahaha” pattern sketched on it which is identical to the tattoo Jared Leto’s Joker had on his chest.
We never see the Clown Prince of Crime in Birds of Prey (not from the front anyway) but it’s clear that, just like his comic book counterpart, he once made good use of Amusement Mile.
During Harley’s standout attack on the GCPD to retrieve Cassandra Cain, she walks past a “Wanted” poster for an old friend of hers: Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang from Suicide Squad!
It seems as if he somehow managed to escape Amanda Waller’s clutches (unless they’re just unaware that’s where he’s being kept), but both Harley and Boomerang will be reunited in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad so they will once again find themselves as members of Task Force X.
As Black Mask’s goons arrive at the Booby Trap to take out Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey, they’re all wearing masks of their own and this is without a doubt a big nod to the source material.
In the comics, Roman Sionis controls a mask-wearing cult known as the False Facers/False Face Society. They’re never referenced by that name here but are clearly meant to be one and the same.
Huntress doesn’t make a huge impact in Birds of Prey but the movie certainly stays faithful to her comic book counterpart’s origin story. With the exception of Victor Zsasz and Black Mask’s involvement, the murder of Helena’s parents and her being brought up by assassins is 100% accurate.
So too is Huntress’ Catholic background. In the comics, she’s often shown carrying a rosary (even in costume) and her religion is as important to her as it is a character like Marvel’s Daredevil.
Keep an eye on Gotham City in the film and you’ll notice a lot of signs for Janus, Roman Sionis’ company. Most of the time, however, the “J” has been crossed out so it reads “Anus” (get it?).
Still, this is a reference to the comics, because in those, Black Mask rules over a cosmetics empire. In Birds of Prey, it’s a real estate development company, but the reason for the change is unclear.
You may also recall seeing a “Janus” sign in Justice League (which was likely a coincidence).
When Renee Montoya first comes face to face with Dinah Lance, she references her mother having the same powers she does and reveals that she used it to help Gotham City’s Police Department. Dinah mentions that it also resulted in her being left for dead in the streets, and this adds some history both to the DC Extended Universe and the history of superheroes in this iconic city.
This is also something that ties into the comic books because in the post-Crisis on Infinite Earths DC Universe, it was revealed that Black Canary’s mother was a member of the Justice Society of America. Is it possible that we’ll see her make an appearance in Black Adam? If Warner Bros. had a plan for a shared world, probably, but something tells us not to get our hopes up on that front.
During Birds of Prey‘s animated opening sequence, we delve into Harleen Quinzel’s past and learn that she had her heart broken a number of times before finally crossing paths with The Joker.
One of them was a woman and this confirms that the big screen version of Harley, like her comic book counterpart, is bisexual. The woman actually looks a little like Pamela Isley, and while it’s highly unlikely they were romantically involved all those years ago, it could just be that Harley has a type!
Sadly, there’s no post-credits scene at the end of Birds of Prey but you’ll still be rewarded (well, sort of) if you stick around long enough. With the final credits rolling, Harley’s voice can be heard as she pokes fun at the audience for waiting. However, she promises to reward them with a secret!
“Batman f-” she begins before the screen fades to black. We never get to hear what she had to say, but given the R-Rated nature of Birds of Prey, we have a pretty good guess about that F-word!

The Tweet below has gone viral after claims that a VFX artist was hired to work on the critically panned film with his sole job being to digitally remove the photo-realistic cat buttholes.
You really can’t make this up!
Tom Hooper’s movie attempted to use CGI to blend human actors and cats, and the version of Cats which ended up in theaters was later replaced with one touting “improved visual effects.” It still bombed, though, and grossed $74.41 million worldwide on a budget of nearly $100 million.
A 20% Rotten Tomatoes score was perhaps the final nail in the musical’s kitty litter box, but it’s hard to deny that getting to see Taylor Swift and Judi Dench’s buttholes in the same film would have been perhaps the most unique theatrical experience of 2019…
A VFX producer friend of a friend was hired in November to finish some of the 400 effects shots in @catsmovie. His entire job was to remove CGI buttholes that had been inserted a few months before. Which means that, somewhere out there, there exists a butthole cut of Cats

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will probably continue to divide fans for years to come, but one scene we can probably all agree was pretty cool was the moment Rey heard those Jedi voices from the past. Everyone from Yoda to Obi-Wan Kenobie and Ahsoka Tano reached out to her through the Force, and this new promo for the Digital release puts the spotlight on them.
Many fans were disappointed that we didn’t get to see actual Force Ghosts in the movie, but there were a number of reasons that might not have worked (even if seeing Emperor Palpatine destroyed by an army of Jedi from the past rather than his own lightning would have been much cooler).
It was always the plan for The Rise of Skywalker to be released this week, but it actually showed up on many services over the weekend as Disney’s response to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. Both TROS and an early release of Frozen 2 on Disney+ were meant to serve as a way of cheering people up in these difficult times, and it was definitely an appreciated move on their part.

Hit the “Next” button below to check out the biggest unanswered
questions we had after watching Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker!

While The Emperor tells Kylo Ren that he’s experienced death, we never learn how he made his return, why now was the right time for him to do so, or what came next after he was thrown into that abyss by Darth Vader. Was he left in a weakened state (which is why Luke and Leia seemingly never senses his presence) or did his followers not resurrect him until many years later?
These are just some of the questions The Rise of Skywalker fails to answer and while we never knew his backstory during the original trilogy, this was all crucial information which should have been shared with moviegoers. With any luck, answers will come somewhere down the line whether it’s in a TV show, another movie, or, more likely, an upcoming comic book or novel.

The Rise of Skywalker makes it clear that The Emperor has been impersonating both Darth Vader and Supreme Leader Snoke in order to influence Ben Solo’s turn to the Dark Side. However, while we see clones of the latter on Exogol, we never find out whether Snoke was someone Palpatine killed and cloned or if he was just a shell he could use as a puppet through the Force.
Chances are that he was a failed clone and that the reason he was so deformed was because the shell simply couldn’t contain The Emperor’s spirit for particularly long. Then again, the new Kylo Ren comic book claims that Luke Skywalker scarred Snoke, so perhaps the scars were deliberate to sell the lie?

Until he uses Rey and Kylo Ren’s bond to rejuvenate himself, The Emperor appears corpse-like and we see that his fingers have burned away. The question is, is this the original Palpatine whose hands were destroyed when Darth Vader absorbed his lightning blasts or another failed clone?
As we mentioned at the start of this post, we don’t know, but a particularly creepy explanation is that The Emperor used the Force to somehow inhabit his own dead body in this movie.

The movie fools us into believing that Chewbacca dies thanks to Rey unwittingly unleashing lightning from her fingertips (just like her grandfather). However, it’s later revealed that the Wookie was put on an entirely different ship…which neither we nor the movie’s characters never get to see!
Honestly, it feels like Chewie really may have died in an earlier version of the movie but in order to avoid a similar level of backlash to what The Last Jedi received, reshoots changed that.

The enigmatic Zorri Bliss has only a few minutes of screentime in The Rise of Slywalker and just as we’re beginning to enjoy spending time with her, she’s gone. Later, the planet she remains trapped on after helping Poe Dameron and his friends escape is destroyed by Palpatine’s “Final Order.”
As a result, we have absolutely no idea how she managed to escape the planet (just in time) or why she hadn’t just left when Poe got there! Perhaps she had a change of heart and wanted to follow him and join the Resistance? That seems doubtful based on her initial attitude, though!

It’s no secret that General Hux despises Kylo Ren but what did he think that betraying The First Order would achieve beyond weakening them and giving the Resistance the advantage? He says himself that he doesn’t care if they win so it’s not as if he’s had a change of heart in this movie!
Throw in the fact that Ren is far too powerful to overthrow and it’s fair to say that his decision to betray The First Order makes almost no sense, especially when he justifies his actions as being a way of ensuring his Supreme Leader loses. Gunning him down makes this even more pointless.

Due to the tragic death of Carrie Fisher, Leia’s story was always going to have to end with her death in The Rise of Skywalker. However, her reaching out to Kylo Ren one final time in an effort to bring him back to the side of the Light really doesn’t make sense as communicating with her son surely wouldn’t cause her body to fail her at such an important time for the Resistance?
There are definitely ways this could be explained and J.J. Abrams and company did their best with what they had to work with but it’s still a moment that it’s impossible not to question.

Emperor Palpatine’s plan is honestly laughable. First, he offers his grandaughter the chance to sit atop his throne as Empress Palpatine. Later, we learn that “all the Sith” live within him and that if she strikes him down, he will be able to inhabit her body and once again rule over the Galaxy.
If that’s the case, why not just kill himself and possess her? Palpatine’s claim that killing him will turn his murderer to the Dark Side has never really passed the sniff test and his motivations and plan just seem incredibly weak. As for the evil version of Rey we see, she’s just a pointless hallucination!

This is admittedly a little nitpicky but when The Emperor blasts Ben Solo down that ravine in order to get revenge for what Darth Vader did to him decades earlier, how does he survive the fall?
Yes, we see that he’s badly injured but considering the fact Ben is incredibly powerful (we’ve never seen a Jedi or Sith who can keep blaster bolts literally suspended in midair), you’d think he could have deflected Palpatine’s Force push. Either way, what follows after Ben does climb out is considerably more satisfying than had that been the way he died in The Rise of Skywalker.

This was very weird. While it’s not too much of a stretch to imagine Palpatine being able to secretly rebuild his Empire over the years, who were the thousands of cloaked figures worshipping him? If there were that many devotees to the Dark Side, you’d think that taking Rey out would be easy and given how easily they died, it’s hard to say what the point of including them here was.
Our theory is that The Emperor was so out of his mind at this point that he was probably being worshipped by failed clones of himself but this question is one Lucasfilm will hopefully answer one day.

There’s a very minor subplot that runs through The Rise of Skywalker which deals with there being something Finn wants to tell Rey. We never get to learn what that is (despite it being mentioned on numerous occasions) but this is one unanswered question we can likely address with common sense!
Despite that kiss with Rose in The Last Jedi, Finn’s priority throughout that entire film was getting to Rey and chances are he’s in love with her. It seems he’s developed Force powers of his own in this movie – another odd decision that leaves us wondering when that happened – so that’s another possibility but perhaps Kylo Ren sacrificing himself for Rey just proved to be the ultimate c*ck block?

This is an easy one: they were there to sell toys! Much like the Knights of Ren (it’s hard to believe Ben Solo thought it was worth naming himself after that bunch of easily beaten losers), the Sith Troopers bring very little to the table here and are no more formidable than regular Troopers.
Heading into The Rise of Skywalker, there was a lot of speculation about this lot having Force powers or something similar but they’re just grunts and bring little to nothing to the movie.

Perhaps we missed something but after The Final Order’s armada is decimated by the Resistance, First Order ships throughout the Galaxy just explode…how the heck did that end up happening?
This really isn’t all that different to The Avengers when Earth’s Mightiest Heroes magically stopped an entire army by just closing a portal and it comes across as an easy and lazy way to bring The First Order to an end once and for all. Again, we may have missed something but it’s still disappointing.

It certainly seems that way. However, it seems appropriate in some ways, especially as The Emperor was the one who created Anakin Skywalker in the first place! With Ben Solo, Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker all dead by the time The Rise of Skywalker concludes, this bloodline is no more.
However, Rey declares herself “Rey Skywalker” so they may live on in some form even if it is one that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. “Skywalker” certainly isn’t going to be the new name for the Jedi that many fans predicted when the movie’s title was revealed, so that settles that one.

That’s the big question! While the Skywalker Saga is now over, there are a lot of unanswered questions (obviously) and plot points which are never fully wrapped up. The future of the Jedi is in Rey’s hands now and that could either set the stage for stories set hundreds or years in the future or another sequel trilogy which continues the stories of these newly introduced characters.

While the next episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will indeed feature a Supernatural cameo of sorts, it won’t be an exact crossover with the actual show, but will instead be a fun mission that sees Sara (Caity Lotz), Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and John Constantine (Matt Ryan) arrive in present day Vancouver where they will stumble across the set of the fan-favorite series starring Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. – However, the two CW stars will unfortunately not appear.
As far as we know, Legends of Tomorrow has already wrapped its fifth season, but with the current programming schedule all messed up due to numerous production shutdowns, it appears the network will do their best to keep fresh installments available this Spring if they aren’t able to get back to work sometime relatively soon, which doesn’t seem likely at the moment as the coronavirus pandemic worsens.
“Zari, Not Zari” – (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)
MEMORIES – Sara (Caity Lotz), Constantine (Matt Ryan) and Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) find themselves in British Columbia searching for another piece of the Loom, but they run into a problem they couldn’t have foreseen. Zari (Tala Ashe) has been having trouble feeling like herself, so she goes on meditative journey at the suggestion of Behrad (guest star Shayan Sobhian). Meanwhile, Ava (Jes Macallan) volunteers to try and help Rory (Dominic Purcell) with a personal problem. Nick Zano and Olivia Swann also star. Kevin Mock directed the episode written by Morgan Faust & Tyron Carter (#509). Original airdate 4/7/2020.

After defeating the demon Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends are ready to ease off the gas. Sara and her team join Ava Sharpe and the Time Bureau to help clean up the last few remaining anachronisms. The job seems straightforward enough until Constantine arrives to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with “Fugitives” – magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. As the Time Bureau is distrustful of and ill-equipped to deal with magic, the Legends must team up with everyone’s favorite demonologist to set history back on track.
Legends Of Tomorrow features:
Brandon Routh as Dr. Ray Palmer/The Atom
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/White Canary
Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Charlie
Tala Ashe as Zari Tomaz
Jes Macallan as Ava Sharpe
Courtney Ford as Nora Darhk
Amy Louise Pemberton as Gideon
