In lieu of a third entry in the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance series, it looks like Activision will instead be releasing remastered versions of the first two installments for the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One. 

Gaming website Gematsu has discovered that the Taiwan Game Software Rating Information Board has listed both Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and its sequel Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 on their website with both receiving auxiliary ratings of 12 and with Activision Europe attached as the publisher and distributor. No release date was posted for either, but a late 2016 release is certainly not out of the question. In addition to those two titles, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron was also listed for a current gen remaster.

The original Ultimate Alliance was released to critical acclaim back in October 2006 and having been developed by Raven Software, was more or less a spiritual successor to X-Men Legends and X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse.
