JUMANJI Star Karen Gillan Believes Nebula’s Story Is Only Just Beginning After AVENGERS: ENDGAME

Image

In Avengers: Endgame, we saw Nebula confront her past (literally) and finally say goodbye to her villainous father, Thanos (twice). Some fans have since argued that the character’s story has arguably reached its end in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but actress Karen Gillan has a very different take on that.

“I don’t feel like her story is over at all,” she told Fandom during a recent interview. “If anything, I feel like her story might just be beginning. We found her in a really broken, vulnerable place and over the course of the movies, she’s had to face the source of all of her abuse. She’s just had this huge, cathartic experience and the source of the abuse has been eliminated, so what happens next?”

That’s something that I think is incredibly interesting,” Gillan continued. “The healing can start but that’s not going to be easy and it’s not going to be immediate either.”

There’s a strong chance that we’ll next see Nebula in Thor: Love and Thunder, but the villain turned hero will almost certainly return in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. As for how Gillan is planning for that, she explained that she’s hoping to delve into how the character will recover after what she’s been through.

“First of all, I want to read a lot of psychology essays on people recovering from abuse,” she explained. “And second of all, I can’t wait to kind of channel that into Nebula but also have fun with her at the same time. I feel like we’re really going to start to define who she is without Thanos looming over her.”

Regardless of what comes next for Nebula, she’s definitely in good hands with Gillan as the actress clearly cares a lot about doing this member of the Guardians justice on the big screen.

Are you guys excited to see where Nebula goes next?

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: New “Zari, Not Zari” Photos Tease A Possible SUPERNATURAL Crossover

Image

Well, I bet you didn’t see this coming!

The CW has just released new photos from the March 24th episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, titled “Zari, Not Zari,” and while the hour will unsurprisingly be very Zari-centric (Tala Ashe) as she adjusts to her new time-traveling life, it looks like there will be something equally as interesting happening in the show’s B-plot as Sara (Caity Lotz), Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and John Constantine (Matt Ryan) find themselves in the presence of what appears to be Baby, a.k.a. the iconic Impala owned by Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) from Supernatural

While Baby may be present, possibly to play a role in the Legends search for another piece of the Loom, it’s uncertain whether Jared Padalecki and/or Jensen Ackles will actually appear on the show. At the moment, it’s actually probably more unlikely than not since neither appear in the photos nor has the network made any sort of effort to promote a possible appearance from arguably their two biggest stars.

“Zari, Not Zari” – (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

MEMORIES – Sara (Caity Lotz), Constantine (Matt Ryan) and Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) find themselves in British Columbia searching for another piece of the Loom, but they run into a problem they couldn’t have foreseen. Zari (Tala Ashe) has been having trouble feeling like herself, so she goes on meditative journey at the suggestion of Behrad (guest star Shayan Sobhian). Meanwhile, Ava (Jes Macallan) volunteers to try and help Rory (Dominic Purcell) with a personal problem. Nick Zano and Olivia Swann also star. Kevin Mock directed the episode written by Morgan Faust & Tyron Carter (#509). Original airdate 3/24/2020.

After defeating the demon Mallus by cuddling him to death with a giant stuffed animal named Beebo, the Legends are ready to ease off the gas. Sara and her team join Ava Sharpe and the Time Bureau to help clean up the last few remaining anachronisms. The job seems straightforward enough until Constantine arrives to inform them that, in solving one major problem, they have created another, much larger one. When the Legends let time crumble in order to release and defeat Mallus, the barrier between worlds softened. History is now infected with “Fugitives” – magical creatures from myths, fairytales, and legends. Having been expelled throughout time by people like Constantine, these Fugitives are now returning to our world in droves and making a real mess of things. As the Time Bureau is distrustful of and ill-equipped to deal with magic, the Legends must team up with everyone’s favorite demonologist to set history back on track.

Legends Of Tomorrow features:

THE BATMAN Concept Artist Confirms Presence Of A Cleverly Hidden Bat Symbol On The New Batmobile

Image

The Batman director Matt Reeves recently “broke the internet” by sharing some jaw-dropping photos of the Batmobile that Robert Pattinson’s version of the Dark Knight will drive around Gotham City. It’s a grounded take on the iconic vehicle, but one comic book fans have responded positively to.

Recently, a user on Twitter claimed to have found a hidden Bat symbol on the Batmobile, and now The Batman concept artist Ash Thorp has confirmed that was an intentional addition.

The fact Bruce Wayne and his loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth took the time to include an “Easter Egg” like this might be a little silly, but it’s a cool nod to both the comic books and the Batman mythos. Plus, Batman using bat imagery like this in his weapons and vehicles has been a staple of his adventures for years, so Reeves deserves a lot of credit for finding a way to include that here too.

Interestingly, Thorp adds that there’s a second bat symbol hidden on the Batmobile when it’s looked at from a different angle, so it’s definitely going to be fun trying to find that.

When Reeves revealed the Batmobile, it was widely assumed that we’d see it in action in set videos and photos, but that hasn’t happened…yet. With any luck, it will be seen soon, because fans are understandably anxious to see as much from The Batman as possible ahead of it June 2021 release.

Check out the Tweet below:

yeah its there and in another view of the batmobile. That was intended 🙂

THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Footage Description Reveals Some New Details About The Disney+ Series

Image

Earlier today, former Disney CEO Bob Iger shared some new details and footage from a plethora of upcoming projects from the studio. Among them was The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (which is expected to arrive on Disney+ this August), and thanks to Laughing Place, we now have a description about what that first look footage contained!

It reportedly kicked off with Bucky paying a visit to Zemo in some sort of state of the art prison and, in a typically villainous fashion, he tried to activate The Winter Soldier’s programming. That failed thanks to the work of T’Challa and his team of scientists in Wakanda, and during this conversation, Bucky reportedly mentions that someone has recreated the Super Soldier Serum.

A clip was also shown of John Walker’s Captain America entering the stadium we saw in the sneak peek during the Super Bowl, but even more interesting is a “montage of action sequences included Zemo fighting in his iconic mask from the comics.”

Finally, it’s said that they “saw Bucky approach Sam Wilson and discussed that they’re not really friends. More like two guys who had a mutual friend who now need each other.” However, something tells us that by the time all is said and done in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, these two could finally become firm friends and allies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Either way, it sounds like a recent Reddit leak about the pilot episode was accurate based on this information, and the fact the Super Soldier Serum has finally been perfected could be a game-changer for this shared world…especially if Sam Wilson ultimately decides to take it.

What do you guys think?
