SUPERNATURAL Stills Tease Five Of The Final Seven Episodes While Revealing A Few Returning Guest Stars

While Supernatural‘s return may be delayed indefinitely, The CW was still generous enough to provide Entertainment Weekly with six hi-res promotional stills from the final batch of episodes, not including the last two installments which have not yet completed filming due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Prior to the shutdown, only one day had been shot on episode nineteen and nothing had been shot for the series finale, which forced the network to hold the remaining episodes until an undetermined date.

The photos also confirm the return of two special guest stars in Felicia Day as Apocalypse World’s Charlie and Emily Swallow as God’s sister Amara, who may have a key part to play in the Winchester’s plan to take down God (Rob Benedict).

Plus, we also get an early preview of episode fourteen, which may be one of the most fun installments of the season. Co-showrunner Andrew Dabb teases, “The episode when we come back is a really fun meta episode that allows you to see basically every holiday you want Sam and Dean to celebrate. Carving jack-o’-lanterns, carving the turkey, birthdays, it’s all there.” Co-showrunner Robert Singer then adds, “The boys get a visitor in the bunker who is quite the character. She basically says to them, ‘You’ve been holed up in this bunker, you’ve missed all these holidays.’”

The epic journey of the Winchester brothers come to a close as SUPERNATURAL enters its fifteenth and final season. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) and the angel Castiel (Misha Collins) have battled demons and angels, mythical creatures and monsters, in a seemingly unending quest to save the world. But in the final battle of the show’s 14th season, they faced off against God Himself (Rob Benedict) – refusing to kill their surrogate nephilim son Jack (Alexander Calvert), and thus bringing about God’s decision to end this reality once and for all…

Supernatural features:
Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester
Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester
Misha Collins as Castiel
Samantha Smith as Mary Winchester
Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer/Nick
Alexander Calvert as Jack

Supernatural returns with a brand new episode TBD

AVENGERS: ENDGAME Star Mark Ruffalo Reiterates Interest In A HULK/WOLVERINE Team-Up In The MCU

Image

In the comic books, Wolverine is introduced as a Superhuman agent of the Canadian government who clashed with The Hulk while hunting down the Wendigo. Later, he would go on to join the X-Men and become one of the most popular characters in the Marvel Universe, and he, along with the rest of those mutant characters, is now on the way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

We’re not entirely sure when that debut will happen, but it sounds like Mark Ruffalo remains optimistic that his version of the Green Goliath will get the chance to face off with the clawed mutant.

During a recent Variety profile, the Avengers: Endgame star pondered the future of The Hulk, and after previously confirming that it’s likely we’ll see the character in She-Hulk on Disney+, he added: “Maybe Hulk and Wolverine could hook up.” It’s a brief statement, but one we’ve heard the actor make before, and he’s clearly anxious to make this no doubt epic team-up happen.

You have to believe Marvel Studios has big plans for Wolverine, especially as he’s a character who can star in both the X-Men franchise and one of his own. Fox had mixed fortunes with the latter, but with the right creative team working on it, another solo movie could be a hit in the MCU.

If it just happens to co-star The Hulk, then that would be even better…

San Diego Comic-Con Is Almost Certainly Not Happening This Year, And 2021’s Show May Also Be At Risk

Image

Despite the event’s organisers insisting that this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was set to take place as planned, it’s recently become clear that won’t happen as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, though, comments from California Governor Gavin Newsom point to next year’s show being at risk of not happening either.

As you can see below, Associated Press California reporter Kathleen Ronayne has shared comments from Newsom which indicate that he won’t allow any mass gatherings until a vaccine is found for the Coronavirus. As of right now, that could be upwards of a year to eighteen months from now, and even if it’s before that, it will take a long time for it to be rolled out.

Currently, the San Diego Convention Center is being used as an emergency centre for the city’s homeless population in a bid to halt the spread of COVID-19 throughout the city of San Diego.

Honestly, any sort of large events taking place in the near future is unlikely as it’s simply too risky. Even after countries reach their peak and flatten the curve, having tens of thousands of people in the same place at the same time risks creating a second peak. Needless to say, this is going to hurt the convention industry in a big way moving forward.

We’ll keep you guys updated as we learn more!

Bad news for concert venues, sports stadiums, Newsom says: “The prospect of mass gatherings is negligible at best until we get to herd immunity and we get to a vaccine. Large scale events that bring in hundreds, thousand, tens of thousands of strangers..is not in the cards.”

Mark Ruffalo Confirms SHE-HULK Talks And Says There Are Currently No Plans For A HULK Movie

Image

Complicated distribution rights issues with Universal Pictures means Disney can’t make a Hulk movie, but if Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige want it to happen, you have to believe it could become a reality. Alas, Mark Ruffalo has now confirmed in an interview with Variety that there are no plans for the mighty Avenger to get his own solo flick.

He did, however, confirm that there have been talks about The Hulk appearing in Disney+’s She-Hulk

“There’s some talk of having Banner/Hulk show up in [the Disney Plus series] She-Hulk,” Ruffalo revealed. “If we come up with something good, that would be really interesting. Right now that’s about it. That’s all there is on the table.” Clearly, it will take more than a glorified cameo appearance to convince the actor this small screen role is worth his time.

Ruffalo went on to reflect on his time as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Hulk, and admitted that it was The Avengers director Joss Whedon and star Robert Downey Jr. who talked him into the role.

“I did try to talk them out of casting me…I said, ‘I don’t know if I’m the right guy, I’ve never done anything like this.’ Between Joss and Robert, they were pretty convincing that I could do it. I was scared. I was really scared. I’m still scared. The technological aspect of it makes it really hard to work that way. I struggle with it all the time. But my motto is make fear your friend.”

“Just keep pushing yourself into those places where you feel scared or challenged,” he adds.
